Ranfurly Village

Ranfurly Village is one of Auckland’s most centrally located retirement villages and involves the re-development and renovation of one of Auckland’s oldest buildings, the 110-year-old Ranfurly  House. When complete the village will comprise of 92 apartments and a separate 60 bed residential care hospital. Ranfurly Village’s retirement apartments have been designed to ensure that residents can “age in place” and receive care in their apartment for as long as they choose to live in them.  However, for those residents who do need more care, Ranfurly Hospital & Veterans’ Home provides rest home and hospital level care.

The operator and part owner of the village is Generus Living, owned by Graham Wilkinson. Graeme has a long history in the Retirement village sector dating from when he and an associate purchased four villages owned by Primecare NZ. Graham is the longest serving member, and currently President of the Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand.
